The future home of my new, redesigned, and hopefully much improved web site.
This site is under construction. In the meantime, to view the old page, please go to www.geocities.com/pawistik
To view my kayak building blog, detailing the construction of a 17' Guillemot sea kayak, go to pawistik.blogspot.com
If things look a little funny here, it's because I am trying to establish a cascading style sheet (CSS) which the whole new site will reference to. This is a new technique for me and I'm still working out the bugs. A style sheet is a document that defines the various formats or styles used in a set of web pages. This document is stored separate from the web page itself, but the web pages all refer to the same document which remains behind the scenes but in this particular case you can see the style sheet used if you click on this link. The style used to create this box of text is defined on that sheet as the "indentitalicbox" class. Because the styles are not defined within the web page itself, if I decided I want to change a single element, such as the font size or the background colour, I simply have to make that change within the bryan.css file and all of the web pages that refer to that style sheet will change.
